Terms of Service

This is a general-purpose starting point, not legal advice. Nothing here is sold, so the commercial exposure is minimal — but Alfred should still have it reviewed by a lawyer before relying on it.

These terms govern your use of equilibriumlabs.ai and the open-source material published here: the skills pack, the method standards, and the tooling. By using the site or that material, you agree to them.

Using the site

The site is provided for you to read, learn from, and link to. Don’t attempt to disrupt it (scraping at a rate that degrades service, attempting to bypass access controls, or similar abuse). Content on the site is provided as-is, for informational purposes — see Licences for what you may do with the underlying code and written material themselves.

Open-source licensing

Everything published is open source: code under the MIT licence, written material — including the skills and the method standards — under CC BY 4.0. That licensing governs your use of the actual files, and these Terms do not add restrictions on top of it. See Licences for the full detail.

Nothing here is sold

There is no paid tier, no hosted service, no subscription, and no commercial agreement to enter into. See Governance for why that is a commitment rather than a current state of affairs. If that ever changes, these Terms will change with it and the change will be dated below.

No warranty

The site and the material published here — including the skills, the method standards, and any analysis produced by a model that has loaded them — are provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

This matters more than the usual boilerplate, so it is worth stating plainly: the skills are guidance about econometric method, written by people who can be wrong, and followed by a language model that can misapply even correct guidance. You remain responsible for any analysis you publish. Nothing here is professional, financial, or legal advice, and no output produced with these skills has been reviewed by anyone at Equilibrium Labs. If you believe a rule is wrong, tell us — that is the mechanism by which it gets fixed.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Equilibrium Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the site or the published material — whether in contract, tort, or otherwise — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Contributions

If you contribute to the project, your contribution is licensed under MIT for code and CC BY 4.0 for written material, matching the rest of the repository. There is no contributor licence agreement and no copyright assignment. See Contribute.

Governing law

Equilibrium Labs (personligt ejet mindre virksomhed), operated by Alfred Birkelund, CVR 43012371, Hans Mules Gade 12, Odense C, Denmark. These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute not resolved informally is subject to the jurisdiction of the Danish courts.

Changes to these terms

We’ll update this page if these terms change, and update the date below when we do.
