Economic research infrastructure

Open economic research you can audit.

Synthetic data, econometrics tooling, and a claim validation layer. Built in the open, reproducible end to end, with no preferred conclusions.

How we're funded

Open source

Open source

The generators, the validation harness, and the MCP server are free and public. Self-host them, fork them, audit them.

  • Equilibrium MCP server

Wires the econometrics toolkit and the validation layer into any MCP-compatible model context. MIT licensed.

  • Synthetic data generators

Household and firm panel generators calibrated to public moments, seeded and reproducible end to end.

  • claimcheck

The validation harness: sources, assumptions, and an uncertainty band for any quantitative economic claim.

  • Repositories

Every generator, the claimcheck harness, and the MCP server, source-available on GitHub under MIT.

Hosted

Hosted

For teams who want the same tools running with SLAs, bespoke data, and support — without operating the infrastructure themselves.

  • Hosted MCP

The MCP server run for you, with an SLA, usage-based billing, and no infrastructure to operate.

  • Custom synthetic data

Bespoke panels calibrated to your own targets, delivered with the same provenance manifest as the public releases.

  • Validation as a service

claimcheck at volume, with a private source registry and a reviewer queue for disputed assumptions.

  • Research consulting

Bespoke engagements: a claim audited, a dataset built, a method reviewed, by the team that built the toolkit.

What we are

We build the economic layer that models and researchers can check for themselves: open data, open methods, open review.

Every figure we publish carries its assumptions, its provenance, and its uncertainty. Nothing is asserted that cannot be traced back to a source, a seed, or a specification.

Open

Code under MIT, data and papers under CC BY 4.0. No gated tiers, no research paywall.

Reproducible

Every figure ships with the notebook, the seed, and the environment lockfile that produced it.

Independent

Independently funded, with no institutional strings attached. The donation ledger is kept anonymous.
